vino time geography- diaries

I came back to Dunedin on 31 of Jan, evening time. The weather here was cold if compared with Wellington. The town was quiet as not all students come back, probably they still have 2 more weeks before ending the long holiday. Right after I check in the backpacker in town, I visited my friend's cousin. Good to see him again and we had a great dinner, ate the sticky rice made by my friend in Wellington. So no joking, lovely food all the way from Wellington to Dunedin. We had a great chat in that evening and Thuan accompanied back to my backpacker. How thoughtful he is.
The night was half sleepless night for me. New environment, new faces, new bath room, new bed, new , everything is new to me. But I had something secret that make me feel like I am thinking of someone. Finally it worked and put me to sleep. :P Am I childish, you may say yes. Anyway, who cares?

Today is the third day I am in Dunedin. I feel bored actually, nothing much I can do here. Thanks that I managed to receive my supervisor's comment on my paper, so I have reason to keep myself busy for the coming week. It is time to say goodbye to Dunedin soon, I need to pack my luggage soon as well as courier some back to Spore. Hope everything goes well. I feel headache when think about those packaging stuffs. errrr. It had been 3 days I haven't eat any rice, over the last two days, I ate sandwich and chicken noodle soup in Friendly. Well, just a right time for me to start to cook my own food again. Rice, rice, I want rice!

Still staying at school right now, working on the paper amendment. Managed to eat one sausage roll, one plain bun, a cup of coffee, a cup of fruit juice. I hope they are healthy enough.

Happy Feet :)

Last Friday we went to watch "Happy Feet" at Hoyts, Cuba Mall.

Penguins used to sing to attract their partner but this little penguin "Mumble" is not able to sing well since he was born. His parents were really worried for him as he might not be able to get a girl friend. Instead of singing, Mumble is a dancing expert. Finally, he use his happy feet to dance and manage to win his girlfriend's heart. Mumble went through an unbelievable trip to deal with human in order to ask we (people) to stop fishing illegally and destroy the antartica. In fact, this movie gave us a lecture- stop destroying, take care of the nature!



Story line "Happy Feet"
In the great nation of Emperor Penguins, deep in Antarctica, you’re nobody unless you can sing--which is unfortunate for Mumble, who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune--tap dancing. Though Mumble’s mom, Norma Jean, thinks this little habit is cute, his dad, Memphis, says it “just ain’t penguin.” Besides, they both know that, without a Heartsong, Mumble may never find true love.
